Fyrste august

I 1936 kom Uziah Thompson til verda i Mannings Mountain på Jamaica. Trommisen Sticky Thompson kan i mi platehylle høyrast på plata Wanted Dread And Alive, som Peter Tosh slepte i 1981, samt på samleplatene The Thougest (1998), og The Best Of Peter Tosh frå 1999, i tillegg til Grace Jones si samleplate Private Life - The Compass Point Sessions (1998), One Bright Day, som Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers slepte i 1989, og Light Your Light, som var Toots And The Maytals sitt bidrag til underhaldningsindustrien i 2007. Thompson døyde i 2014.
